In loving memory of Linda Etoile Vance, who passed on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at 79 years of age. She died in London, KY at Laurel Heights Nursing Home. She was born January 17, 1941 to her parents, William Grady Quick and Geneva Pitts. She was the oldest of three siblings, and she leaves behind two younger siblings, Gloria Foster and Debbie Michaud (Michael). She was educated at Central High School in Jackson, MS and received her Associate of Arts degree at Hinds Community College. She retired after a career as a registered nurse. She worshipped and was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church.
Linda Etoile Vance is survived by two children, Michael Wayne Stanley (Tamara Knox), Katherine Boyd and three stepchildren, Sheila Daley (Mike), Sandra Yeates (Edward), Michael Vance (Lisa). She has many adoring grandchildren: Lauren Pingleton (Josh), Lindsay Monroe (Lance), Jonathan Boyd, and Stuart Boyd (Amber), Jeremy Carmack, Justin Carmack, Heather Owens, Kayla Daley, Lakyn Clayton, Austin Vance, and Amberly Crain. The loves of her life were her seven great grandchildren: Christian, McKenzie, and Jasper Pingleton; Avery and Adalynn Monroe; Dax and Olive Boyd. Linda Vance was preceded in death by her spouse, Bobby Vance.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, October 17, 2020, at Shiloh United Methodist Church Cemetery, Pelahatchie. Reverend Mitchell Hedgepeth will officiate. The pallbearers will be Josh Pingleton, Christian Pingleton, Jonathan Boyd, Stewart Boyd, Britt Thomas, and Brandon Thomas. Honorary pallbearers are David Britt and Lance Monroe.

Linda and I were classmates at Enochs Jr High and at Central High school. She was such a nice person and well liked. She will be missed. Condolences to all her friends and families .

We took a shorthand class together in high school. It was fun sitting next to her. She gave me a Bridal party after I married. She was such a nice lady and I will miss her. Prayers to all her family and friends.

Linda was my stepmom.. she was married to my dad for over 30t years... she loved my boys so much!!! She had a warm welcome and a great heart ♥️... she called me and I went to see her often... I’ll miss her so much... but she’s gained her wings and she’s now back with my daddy... Fly high .. love you... Rest In Peace ... Jeremy and Justin will miss you too!!!!

Linda was a very special lady and always made you feel welcome. Had some great times visiting with her and Bob , she showed so much love and always had kind words, never heard her speak bad about anyone.. Enjoyed her wonderful cooking too .. I am sure she is resting in the arms of Jesus , blessings to all of her family..
