Lisa H. Lewis

Lisa was born on October 19, 1957, in Jackson, Mississippi, to Maxine Keyes Hammack and M.C. Hammack Jr., who preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband, Windell Lewis; her sons, Jason Lewis and wife Christy, and Jeremy Lewis and wife Paige; and her four grandchildren, Truitt, Abby Grace, Jackson, and Trace. She is also survived by her sister, Diane Grissom and husband Eddie; her brother, Kerry Hammack and wife Sandy; her half-sister, Misty Smith and husband Steve; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved her dearly.

A graduate of Copiah Academy, Lisa spent 37 years working at Blue Cross & Blue Shield, where she served as an Executive Assistant. She was known for her dedication, kindness, and the relationships she built throughout her career.

Lisa’s greatest joy was her family. She loved gathering everyone around the table for family dinners, where her cooking was celebrated and no one ever left hungry. Some of her happiest moments were spent surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and the people she loved most.

Lisa had a special place in her heart for babies. Over the years, she spent countless hours serving in church nurseries, rocking, holding, and loving little ones. She never met a baby she did not want to hold. She also loved traveling to the mountains, where she found peace in God's creation and enjoyed making memories with family.

Lisa will be remembered for her gentle spirit, caring heart, and deep love for her family. Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched, the memories she created, and the love she freely gave to everyone around her.

Though our hearts are broken, we are grateful for the years we shared with her and find comfort in knowing that her love will remain with us always. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Visitation will be held from 5:00pm until 7:00pm, Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services are 2:00pm, Wednesday, September 2, 2026, in the funeral home chapel. Interment services will follow at 4:00pm in the Gatesville Baptist Church Cemetery, Crystal Springs.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to her caregiver, Angel, for the love, compassion, and care she provided to Lisa and her family during her final months.
