Visitation will be held from 5pm-8pm Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services will be held at 11am Friday in the funeral home chapel with interment to follow at Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson.

Lorene dedicated countless hours of service to Veterans. She was named American Legion Auxiliary Woman of the Year in 2000. She served as Auxiliary President at Post 112 from 2008-2013 and at Post 91 from 2013 to 2017.

She is survived by her husband, R V Martin; daughter, Susan Knight (Dale) of Salt Lake City, UT; stepchildren, Kenneth Martin of Augusta, GA and Sharon Iles (David) of Denham Springs, LA; brother, Freddie L. Breland (Barbara) of Gallman, MS; grandchildren, Natasha Oldfield (Seth) of Rescue, CA, Prentiss A. Knight (Joni), Victoria C. and Brooke N. Knight all of Salt Lake City, UT; great grandchildren, Noah, Jacob, Benjamin, Spencer and Rylee Oldfield, and Elijah Reid; and numerous step grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
