

Lynette was born May 12, 1962, in Tallulah, Louisiana, a daughter of the late Buddy and Paula Ainsworth. She was a graduate of Tallulah High School where she played flute and served as drum major for the band.
Lynette loved her Lord and attended The Exchange church in Pearl. She was gifted with a “green thumb” and enjoyed tending her plants and flowers. Lynette was also very creative and appreciated different arts and crafts, most recently being the beautiful adult coloring books. Lynette also loved to indulge in True Crime shows. She also liked to cook, especially for her family, and was interested in fashion.
A loving mother and grandmother, Lynette’s relationships with her family were significant to her and she was very involved in the lives of her children and grandchildren. Her warming heart radiated onto those that she loved.
Lynette loved life, she loved to laugh, and she loved others. To know her was to love her!
In addition to her parents Lynette was preceded in death by her grandson, Gavin Lernard Fortenberry and Erika Phillips.
She is survived by daughters, Marléna Joy Owens, Christina Trippe, Heather Bounds (Carson), Holly Marie Warren, and Jessica Rose Mendez-Brown (Latisha); brother, Sydney Willams (Susan); sisters, Minda Ainsworth, and Melody Hope Whitehead (Mitch); companion, Russell Phillips; step children, Erik Phillips (Trisha) and Taylor Phillips (Tyler). grandchildren, Gabriell, Gage, Gracelyn, Mason Connor, Keaton Liam, Easton Henry, Kingston Levi, and Aubree Lyn; step grandchildren, Nevaeh, Eliana, and Giana; niece, Lexie Prudhomme; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; and her faithful canine companion, Iggy.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 12:00pm, Friday, October 3, 2025, at Hangar Church, 169 Gulde Shiloh Rd., Brandon.
