Visitation will be 10:00-11:00am, Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Memorial services will follow at 11:00am in the funeral home chapel. Mr. Howell’s ashes will be interred in the Biloxi National Cemetery at a later date.
Mr. Howell was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired Brigadier General from the Army National Guard. He worked in logistics for Keesler Air Force Base for more than 30 years, and also taught school and coached basketball in Pascagoula. His hobbies included carpentry work, hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Hunter Howell and Lowell Mark Howell.
Survivors include wife, Angie Howell; son, Marion L. “Skip” Howell, Jr. (Jan); daughter, Debbie Burnham (Randy); step-daughters, Amy Lott (Kevin) and Emily Dear; sisters, Hilda Howell, Ann Hammons and Dixie Adkins; 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
