Mark was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas, on September 16, 1956, to Mr. Mahlon K. Anderson and Mrs. Virginia Hughes Anderson.
Mark spent his early years growing up in South Jackson playing baseball and graduating from Wingfield High School in 1974. He was of Christian faith and a long-time member of Southside Baptist Church in Jackson, MS. He also was a boy scout. In December 2012, he met the love of his life and on April 23, 2016, they were united in marriage.
Mr. Anderson loved riding and working on "Ace" his motorcycle, gardening, fishing, and the occasional hunting trip. But most of all, he enjoyed his family. Rather it was family beach trips, cruises, or just relaxing at home, cooking ribs and hamburgers in the backyard. According to family they were considered “Best in Town”. He also loved his canine companions, Rottweiler Trixie and Yorkie Tabby. He worked as an electrician with IBEW 480 in Jackson for many years.
Mark is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Teresa Gail Anderson Thornton, and Jeana Lynn Anderson; and mother-in-law, Tiny Marie Neal.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Nancy Anderson; sons, Brock Burnham and Daniel Burnham (Kimberly); daughter, Allisha Ferguson (Jamie); brother, Dennis Anderson; grandchildren, Austin Burnham, Kaeden Burnham (Elaina), Lainee Burnham, Jacob Ferguson, Noah Ferguson, and Katelyn Ferguson; great- grandchildren, Harper Burnham and Franklin Burnham; and father-in-law, Edward Rush Neal.
The family will receive friends on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl, MS. There will be a chapel service on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 10:00am at the funeral home with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place following the service at Floral Hills Memory Garden in Pearl, MS.
Rev. Mike Skinner will officiate and serving as pallbearers will be Daniel Burnham, Brock Burnham, Austin Burnham, Kaeden Burnham, Jacob Ferguson, and Noah Ferguson.
