Mary Noreen Slaughter

Mary Noreen Slaughter, 83, joined her family in heaven, Friday, August 2, 2013 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, Mississippi. She was predeceased by her parents R.O. and Eulene Moore, her husband Buford Edward Slaughter, her daughter Catherine Lynn Horton and her granddaughter Stacey Lynn Ward.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Mary (Wina) & Robert F. Ward, Jr. of Madison, MS, her son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Ann Slaughter of Haymarket, VA, her son Mark Slaughter of Brandon, MS and her daughter, Heather Slaughter of Benton, KY. She is also survived by her two grandchildren, Stephanie Ward Thibodeaux (Terry) of Memphis, TN and Trey Ward (Heather) of Brandon, MS. She was the proud great grandmother to five beautiful girls, Mary Catherine, Grace and Emily Thibodeaux and Haley and Sarah Caroline Ward. She is also survived by two sisters, Celia Faye Maske (Larry), JoAnne Harris and their families.

As a long time resident of Brandon, “Miss” Noreen was active in missions and children’s ministries at Liberty Baptist Church in Flowood.

The family would like to thank the staff and volunteers of Hospice Ministries for their wonderful and compassionate care.

Visitation will be Monday, August 5, 2013 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at 8:00 am at Parkway Memorial Cemetery on Highland Colony Parkway, Ridgeland. A service of praise and celebration will follow at 10:00 am at Liberty Baptist Church on the corner of Lakeland Drive and Luckney Road in Flowood.
