Visitation will be 10:00-11:00am, Saturday, February 23, 2019, at Christ Congregational Church in Johns, Mississippi. Funeral services will follow at 11:00am at the church, with interment in the Johns Cemetery.
Mr. Thompson was born February 20, 1936, in Crystal springs, Mississippi, a son of the late James Lamar Thompson and Freda Patrick Thompson. Throughout his working career, Mr. Thompson held many various jobs in several fields. His work took him all over the country, including Las Vegas, Arkansas, California, and Alaska. A true animal lover, he had several pets throughout his lifetime, and he lovingly cared for each.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Marvin Thompson.
Survivors include brother, Dan Thompson and wife Deborah; sister, Ruby Speaks; and several nieces and nephews.
