Mittie was born on November 17, 1938 to Ike and Joella McDavitt of Crystal Springs. She was a member of the Crystal Springs class of 1958.
Mittie is preceded in death by her son, Mike Skaggs. She leaves behind three children, Debbie Upton, Mark Skaggs and Roger Skaggs, three grandchildren, Michael Skaggs, Alison Skaggs and Ryan Skaggs, three siblings, Mildred Gayle, Grace Beasley and Johnny McDavitt, along with many nieces, nephews and friends. She also leaves behind her beloved Schnauzer, Sophie.
There will be a memorial honoring Mittie's life at the Wisteria Inn in Crystal Springs, MS Saturday, September 28, 2013, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to your local animal shelter.
