Visitation will be held from 9:30am until 11:00am, Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Briar Hill Baptist Church in Florence. Funeral services will follow at 11:00am with interment in the church cemetery.
She was born February 21, 1928, in Lawrence County, Mississippi, a daughter of the late Shelby Lambert and Myrtle Hampton Lambert. She was a graduate of Monticello High School and Draughon’s Business College. Murle was a longtime member of Briar Hill Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher for many years. She also worked with the Senior Adults in several capacities.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Neal, Jr.; and siblings, Glenn Lambert, Grover Lambert, Wayne Lambert, Mildred Boyles, and Melba Berry.
Survivors include son, Randall Neal; daughter, Stephanie Higginbotham; grandchildren, Elizabethann Neal, Ashley Pettit and wife Kimberly, and Cody Nelson.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Briar Hill Baptist Church or the Gideons.
