Ilene was born in Jackson, Mississippi, on February 22, 1950, to Mr. Smiley G. Bowman and Mrs. Nellie Britt Bowman.
Ilene will be remembered as a beloved and cherished presence—marked by a gentle spirit, a kind heart, and a compassionate way of caring for others. Throughout her life, she carried herself with faithful devotion and quiet strength, offering thoughtful support and selfless love to those around her. Her hard-working nature and steady goodness left a lasting impression on family and friends alike.
Ilene is home with her Lord and Savior, she and her loved ones are rejoicing in his presence. We will always remember her Love, Joy, and Laughter.
Ilene was preceded in death by her husband, Amos Myers; her sisters, Geraldine Hewitt and Johnnie Emerson.
Those left to honor her memory include her son and daughter-in-law, Skyler Myers (Liz); her grandchildren, Skyler Jr., Samantha, Ricardo, and Puente; her brothers, Eddie Bowman (Betsy) and George Bowman (Leta).
