It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Patricia Ann Barnes, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Patricia departed this world peacefully on March 7, 2026, at the age of 91. Her extraordinary journey began on November 1, 1934, in Pearl, Mississippi.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Sadie Marie and Leon Babin, devoted husband, Bob Barnes, her cherished infant daughter, Cynthia and her brother Jerry Babin. Their memories remained close to her heart throughout her life, and their spirits live on through the love she bestowed upon her family.
Patricia's legacy continues to shine brightly in the lives of those she leaves behind. She is survived by her dear brother, Michael Leon (Sarajean) Babin of Mountain View, AR, beloved sister, Janice Frank of Pearl, Mississippi; her loving sons, Greg (Jordys) Barr of Hensley, Arkansas, and Jeff (Kelli) Barr of North Little Rock, Arkansas. Her family was her pride and joy, and she was blessed with 5 grandchildren, including Jason (Rachel) Barr of South Haven, MS, Matthew (Kayla) Barr of Millington, TN, Alleace (Lee) Looper of Mayflower, AR, and Anna (Seth) Weaver of North Little Rock, AR and Alex Kenyon, Branson, MO. She also leaves behind 15 great-grandchildren, whose laughter and joy lit up her life: McKenzie, Megan, Layden, Maverick and Fletcher Looper; Raylea, Roman, Hazel, Henry, Rebekah and Solomon Weaver; Cody Barr, William and Thomas Spooner and Adelaide Barnes as well as cherished extended family of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
A graduate of Pearl, Mississippi, Patricia embraced life's opportunities with grace and determination. Her career with Kmart was marked by dedication and a commitment to excellence, qualities that were evident in every role she undertook. After retiring, Patricia dedicated her time to her passions and the people she loved most.
Patricia's hands were rarely idle. She found joy in mastering crafts, particularly ceramics and needlepoint, creating works of art that will be cherished by her family for generations. Her love for nature was profound; she found peace in the wonders of birds and blooms, often sharing this appreciation with those around her.
However, her greatest joy was derived from the moments spent raising her sons and cherishing every precious moment shared with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her home was a haven of warmth and love, filled with laughter and the sweet aroma of her favorite home-cooked meals.
Patricia's life will be celebrated and remembered on March 13, 2026 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl, MS. Visitation will be held from 10:30-12:30 and service at 12:30 with interment at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Patricia's name to The Presbyterian Village in Little Rock, AR for the loving, devoted care she received there.
As we say goodbye to Patricia, we remember her not only for the love she gave but also for the legacy she leaves behind—a legacy of kindness, creativity, and an unwavering dedication to her family. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
