Ralph William Tolley Jr.

He was born on June 3, 1964 in Botetourt County, Virginia to the late Ralph William Tolley, Sr and Betty Lou Smith Tolley. Hardy enjoyed a long career in commercial construction, but he was truly a jack of all trades. He was happy to impart his knowledge on overall handiness to his loved ones, that way they were prepared if they ever got in a pinch and needed to fix something themselves. Hardy truly had a big heart and not only offered education on repairs; he always was willing to help in any way that he could. Though outsiders may misinterpret his "tough love" style of care, his life was truly one filled with compassion.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Cecil Sweet; grandmother, Susie Smith; grandfather, Rory Tolley; and several close friends who were loved like birth family.

Hardy is survived by his beloved wife, Jeanne Tolley; children, Branden Moses and Caroline Tolley; son-in-law, Gary Sullivan; sisters, Brenda Whittaker, Deborah Young, and Cindy Huffman; granddaughter, Elena Sullivan; 11 nieces and nephews, including Elizabeth Plunkett and John Plunkett; and a host of other precious extended family members and friends.

He will be so deeply missed.
