Funeral services are 2:00pm Monday, May 28, 2012 at Oakdale Baptist Church, Brandon. Interment will follow in the Oakdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church.
Mr. Hutchinson was born September 1, 1927 in Carthage, a son of the late Claude Hutchinson and Sybil Dykes Hutchinson. He was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church and retired from Dupont in 1985 after 34 years of service. He served in the Merchant Marines during WWII. A Master Mason, he was Past Worshipful Master of his lodge in South Carolina.
Mr. Hutchinson was preceded in death by his son, Terry Wayne Hutchinson.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Lucille Shows Hutchinson; daughter, Charlotte Anderson; grandson, Chaplain Brian Bailey (Diane); great-grandchildren, Olivia and Clark Bailey; and brother-in-law, Jack Shows (Hazel).
