Becky was born in Yazoo City, Mississippi, a daughter of the late James and Billie Moore. Becky retired from the Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) after more than 20 years of dedicated service. She loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren, and was a true “soccer grandma,” proudly cheering them on in whatever activity they participated in. Becky was also an animal lover who enjoyed caring for her own pets as well as the many animals that found their way onto her property. Above all, Becky appreciated the simple pleasures in life, and one of her favorite indulgences was a good nap.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by step-sons, Jason Johnson, and Tony Johnson; and son-in-law, David Wynne.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 25 years, Jerry W. Johnson; sons, Stephen Barrentine, and David Barrentine; step-daughter, Courtney Wynne; grandchildren, Seth Maddox, John Tyler Wynne, Kelsey Wynne, and Jacob Hunter Wynne; and brothers, Bobby Moore and wife Cynthia, and Michael Moore.
Celebration of Life Services will be held from 11:00am until 1:00pm, Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl.
