Ricky was a social, larger-than-life guy who always had a joke to tell. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Independence (CV-52) as a young man and later made a career in automotive finishes.
He was preceded in death by his father, Art Lee Collett; his mother, Floyce Roberson Collett; and his brother, Charles Collett.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Debra Collett; his son, Derrick Collett; his stepson, Scott Stanley; and his siblings, Larry Collett (Linda), Ouida Davis (Kenneth), Mark Collett, and Renee Collett (John Wayne Barrett), as well as many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl.
