Robbie was born on January 24, 1942, in Rayville, LA, to Mr. Robert Newton Chance and Mrs. Mammie Lee Johnston Chance . She married the love of her life Mr. Jerry Hall, on September 22, 1958 and they were blessed with 4 children. She lived a life marked by steady devotion, quiet strength, and a thoughtful way of caring for others that made her deeply beloved.
Robbie’s faithful heart was evident in the way she showed up for the people and places entrusted to her. She was a dietician in the Jackson Public School System and later at Riggs Manor in Raymond, Mississippi. The work she carried out with diligence and compassion—served others not only through her profession, but through the consistent care she brought to everyday life. In the years that followed, Robbie remained devoted to what mattered most, offering a steady presence shaped by kindness, attentiveness, and a hard-working spirit.
Her warmth was often felt in the simple, meaningful joys she cherished. She loved cooking—especially chicken and dumplings and hummingbird cakes—and found pleasure in shopping, the sight of red birds, and the charm of a well-loved collection of teapots. Her favorite color was pink, a fitting reflection of the gentle brightness she brought into the lives around her. When she was not cooking for her family or admiring the red birds you could find her just enjoying her family especially her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren.
Robbie was a member of Griffith Memorial Baptist Church in Jackson, Mississippi, where her faith anchored her life and her compassion found a natural home in her community.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jerry E. Hall; son, Steven Wayne Hall; and sister, Velma P. Spillers
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Cindy Robertson (husband Eddie); sons, Craig Hall (wife Cynthia) and Brad Hall (wife Hollie); sister, Jeanette Ross; grandchildren, Marci Riddle (husband Jason), Marlena Strack (husband Wesley), Crystal Klar (husband Patrick), Mallory Hobbs , Kayla Williams (husband Stacy), Kasey Hall, Beau Hall (wife Amber), and Chance Hall. She also leaves behind 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren with one on the way.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 12, 2026, from 10:00am-11:00am at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl, Mississippi. A memorial service will follow in the chapel. A graveside service will take place the same day at Bethesda Baptist Church Cemetery at 13826 Midway Rd. Terry, MS 39170, at 2:00pm.
“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” Psalms 23:6
