Roger was born on September 16, 1948, in Calhoun City, MS, to Mr. Q. T. Mooneyham, Sr. and Mrs. Maggie Teague Mooneyham.
Mr. Mooneyham loved country and rhythm and blues music, wrestling, rather it being the early Mid-South wrestling or the WWE of today, he enjoyed it all. He was a was a truck driver for many years, traveling the nation. He would come back home and tell family of the places he had visited. The thing that he liked and enjoyed most was spending time with his family at family functions.
Roger is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Butch Mooneyham, Ellis Mooneyham, Q. T. Mooneyham, Jr., and Howard Mooneyham; and sisters, Sue Stewart and Melissa Mooneyham.
Left to cherish his memory is his sister, Darlene Cross (John) of Pelahatchie, MS and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Jaquith Nursing Home for the many years of caretaking and love that they showed their brother and uncle.
The family will hold a graveside service at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, MS, on Monday, September 22, 2025, at 10:00am.
