Sammy was born on October 5, 1943 to the late John Lester and Roxie Lee Lester in Lebanon, Tennessee. He proudly served our country in the United States Army National Guard. Sammy was owner of Lester's Overhead Door & Glass Company, Lester's Gun & Pawn, and Lester's Manufacturing Jeweler's. He was a very talented craftsman and often spent his free time making jewelry. Otherwise, Sammy could be found shooting pool or playing dominoes or chess. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. Sammy had a knife collection as well and spent quiet moments maintaining them and sharpening the blades.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings; former wife, Linda Lester; and grandson, Matthew Weede.
Sammy is survived by his children, James Lester (Ann), Timothy Lester (Beverly), David Lester (Phyllis), Angelyn Lester McNally, and Shannah Kittrell; life friend, Jean Everette; and a host of numerous beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and other extended family members and friends.
He will be so dearly missed.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.baldwinleepearl.com for the Lester family.
