Visitation will be 1:00-2:00pm, Tuesday, August 30, 2016, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services will follow at 2:00pm in the funeral home chapel with interment in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Rev. Gary Howse of the Newton United Methodist Church will officiate.

Mrs. Jenkins was a longtime resident of Pearl, and during the past seven years had become a beloved resident of Bedford Care in Newton. She was a retired nursing assistant and member of Skyway Hills Baptist Church in Pearl. She was an avid reader, and her favorite times were spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ollie L. Jenkins, Sr., grandchildren, Jessica McCoy and Steven Cutrer, and great-grandson, Kristopher Platt.

Survivors include sons, Ollie L. “Bubba” Jenkins, Jr. (Beth) and Robbie Jenkins; daughters, Ann Ruffin (Roger), Kim Platt and Judy Acy (Walter); grandchildren, Lauren Powell (Tyler), Jacob Lurk, Boyd Platt (Erin), Leah Platt, Nicholas Cutrer, Tony Cutrer (Cassie), Willie Acy and Brittney Acy; and great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Platt, Mason Platt, Xander Lashley, Aiden Cutrer and Adam Cutrer.
