Sarah Sumrall

Frances married the love of her life, James Riley Sumrall, in September 1958. Shortly thereafter, they moved to the Jackson, Mississippi area, where they made their home and lived the remainder of their lives together. Frances devoted herself to her family and her faith, which guided her life in both word and deed.

She had a deep love for singing gospel music and found joy and comfort in watching old Western movies. Her faith, music, and family were central to who she was, and she will be remembered for her gentle spirit and steadfast devotion.

Frances was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Sumrall.

She is survived by her two children, four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

• Sandra Jane Slone and her husband C.W. Slone, and their children Andy Bright his children Ona and Mae, and Natalie Edwards, and her children George, Ari, and TK ;

• David Wayne Sumrall and his wife Angela Sumrall, and their children Ashley DiCristina and husband Calogero, and Amanda Poonnen and husband Ranjit.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday May 9th at 11:00 at Floral Hills Cemetery.

Frances will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her family finds comfort in knowing she is now at peace in the presence of her Lord.
