Sharon was born August 4, 1955, in Inverness, Mississippi, a daughter of the late Elroy Sheppard Collier and Allie Mae Foster Collier.
From an early age, Sharon had a heart for serving others. In her youth, she was an active member of the 4-H Club, and throughout her adult life, she continued giving of herself through volunteer work with the Virlillia Homemakers Extension of Canton and the Mississippi Gem and Mineral Society. Her faith was an important part of who she was, and as a devoted Christian, Sharon lived her life with a genuine desire to care for and help those around her.
Sharon enjoyed spending quiet time working on cross-stitch projects, solving crossword puzzles, coloring in her adult coloring books, and creating memories through scrapbooking. A true animal lover, she had a tender heart for her pets and took great pleasure in caring for them.
But more than anything, Sharon treasured her family and friends. She loved being surrounded by the people who meant the most to her and cherished every opportunity to share laughter, conversation, and precious time together.
In addition to her parents Sharon was preceded in death by her beloved partner, John Langford; sister, Barbara Brown; and nephew, Garland R. (Bob) Brown, II.
Survivors include her children, Franklin Orren Chisolm, III, Elizabeth Ann Young, and Amy Nicole McCain (Jesi); grandson, Charles Ian McCain; brothers, Richard Collier, and Darrel Collier; nephews and nieces, Joseph E. Brown, Wendell E. Brown, Melissa D. Brown. Kelly Ryder, Gena Anderson, Shane Collier, Chris Collier, and Dara Ducote; and several great-nephews and great-nieces.
Celebration of Life Services will be held from 3:30pm until 6:30pm, Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl.
