Teresa was born August 25, 1954, in Jackson. She graduated high school early, and at the age of 17, moved to the Grand Canyon where she found work and began her fearless journey through life. Teresa fell in love with the area.
Eventually she returned to Mississippi where she and her husband, Conley Roy Ostrander, made their home and were blessed with a daughter. Teresa retired from the Mississippi Department of Human Services after more than 25 years of service.
A truly talented artist, Teresa crafted beautiful works of art in ceramics and cross stitch. She had a keen appreciation for God’s coloring book, preferring to spend much of her time outdoors, tending to her flowers and yard. And her favorite times were any spent with her beloved granddaughters. Time with “Memaw” meant trips to the park, shopping, and lots of hugs and kisses!
Teresa was preceded in death by her husband, Conley Ostrander; sister, Charlene Little; and parents, C.D. and Ruth McLeod.
She is survived by her daughter Sara Steed and husband David; granddaughters, Natalie and Dalila Steed; brother, Charles “Bud” McLeod and wife Dianne; sister, Judy Michaels; and many extended family and dear friends.
Celebration of Life Services will be held from 1:00pm until 5:00pm, Sunday, October 25, 2020, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl.
