Tommy Benjamin Martin Jr.

Tommy Benjamin Martin, Jr. was born on February 16, 1932 in Hazlehurst, Mississippi, to the late Tommie Benjamin Martin, Sr. and Edna V. Johnson Martin. On November 10, 1950, he married the love of his life, Myrtis Delories Martin, and on August 20, 2026, Jesus called him home to join his love once more in eternity. While he will be deeply missed on this side of heaven, we take comfort in knowing he is exactly where he has long wanted to be.

In addition to his parents and his loving wife, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Billy Martin, Jimmy Martin, Malcom Martin, and his sister, Bonnie Griffin.

Survivors include his daughter, Karen McNeely (Keith), son, Tommy David Martin (Maureen), grandchildren, Keeli McNeely O’Cain (Donald), Kabet McNeely (Lynn), Jason Martin (Shanon), Amanda Russell (Corey), and Kyle Martin, his brother, Larry Martin, 11 great grandchildren, 18 great-great grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held at Baldwin Lee Funeral Home, Pearl, on Monday, August 24, 2026, at 1pm. Funeral services to follow at 2pm in the funeral home chapel with interment at Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
