She grew up in D'Lo, MS, and was a 1957 graduate of Mendenhall High School. She's been a long-time resident of Florence, MS, since 1975. She was a member of Florence First Baptist Church and retired from Trustmark National Bank.
Her passion was spending time with her family and working with her roses in her flower beds. She also enjoyed finding treasures for her Flea Market business.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh K. Martin; father, Cordis Dukes; birth mother, Estelle Puckett Dukes; mother, Vespa Quinn Dukes; sister, Grace Myers; and son-in-law, Cliff Mehler.
She is survived by daughter, Vicki Harris (Bryan); son, Jim Smith (Donna); daughter, Sandra Mehler; grandchildren, Lori Parham (Gregg), Preston Harris, Haley Harris, Dalton Smith (Millie), and Mackenzie Harris (Taylor Hinton); great-grandchildren, Jessica Harper (Josh), Hunter Parham (Katelyn), Kayson Harris, and Kohen Harris; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5:00pm until 8:00pm, Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services are 11:00am, Thursday, July 23, 2026, at First Baptist Church Florence with interment in the Florence Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church.
