

Virginia Carolyn Barrett, 81, of Pearl, passed away on February 25, 2026, at Brandon Court Nursing Home. Carolyn was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose life was marked by love, faith, and dedication.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, Charles Herbert Barrett; her mother, Mary Kathryn Blair; her father, James Berry Blair; and her brother, Johnny Ray Blair.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathryn Elizabeth McDill (Randy) of Pearl; her son, Charles M. “Spud” Barrett (Vicki) of Mendenhall; her grandchildren, Lauren Smith (Billy) of Pearl, Erin Williams (Zach) of Gluckstadt, Emily Gonseth (Tyler) of Gluckstadt, Kayla Troth (Tim) of Richland, and Jason Logan of Pearl; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Liam Smith, Lela Kate Smith, Dallas Williams, Whitt Williams, Ivey Williams, Brantley Gonseth, Sage Gonseth, Ellie Gonseth, Karter Troth, and Chandler Troth.
She is also survived by her sisters, Mary Ruth Hancock (Carl), Joan Minga (Joe), and Patsy Cox (Paul); and her brothers, James C. Blair (Lynn) and Jerry Blair.
Carolyn was a proud 1962 graduate of Pinola High School. She also enjoyed a 34-year career at MEA Medical Clinic of Pearl. A faithful Christian, Carolyn’s favorite Bible verse was John 14:1-4 - a promise of eternal peace that brought her comfort and that she shared often with others.
She found great joy in dancing with the Southern Style Cloggers of Brandon, tending to her beautiful roses in her garden, and enjoying her favorite game of bingo with family and friends. Her smile and steady faith will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services will be held at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl, Mississippi, with burial to follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Mount Olive, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held from 12:00pm until 1:00pm, Sunday, March 1, 2026, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services will follow at 1:00pm in the funeral home chapel. Graveside services are 3:30pm, Sunday, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Mt. Olive. Bro. Matt Lemly will officiate. Pallbearers will be Tim Troth, Karter Troth, Jason Logan, Billy Smith, Zach Williams, and Tyler Gonseth.
