Walter was born on July 6, 1950, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi to Mr. Leon Williams and Mrs. Catherine Hart.
After graduating high school Walter attended Holmes Junior College studying art. He was a master artist of pen and ink. He left college and entered the Mississippi National Guard serving his country in the for 32 years working up to the rank of Senior Master Sargent with the Civil Engineers division. When he was not serving his country, you could find him building models of tanks, naval ships, and aircraft which he enjoyed greatly. But the things he enjoyed most were spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years Perri Germany Williams; son, Walter B. Williams (Marsha); and grandchildren, Ian and James Williams.
The family will hold private services.
