He was born on August 1, 1957 in Memphis, to the late James "Sonny" Pittman and Rebecca "Becky" Thornton Pittman. Butch worked for over 20 years with Ferrell Paving in Memphis. In his free time, he could be found fishing. Younger years were spent with his family a wrestling tournaments, where he earned the nickname "Jackie Fargo, Jr." from his impressive skills that mirrored the famous aforementioned athlete.
In addition to his parents, preceding him in death is his sister, Lisa Marie Scronce.
Butch is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Lisa Marie Pittman; precious children, Brian Pittman (Kelly Gooch), Heather Greenhaw (Pat Wilber), Joshua William Pittman (Olivia Pittman), Michael "Caleb" Pittman (Hope Carlisle), and Mary Elisabeth Pittman (Joe Lefeau); cherished brother, Jerry Pittman; treasured sisters, Maxine Juanita Stark, and Barbara Jean Owrey; treasured grandchildren, Jasmine Pittman, Christopher Pittman, Blake Pittman, Trey Pittman, Shelby Pittman, Logan Greenhaw, Kailee Greenhaw, Sofia Toarmina, Bella Snoddy, Luna Pittman, Jordan Pittman, Freyja LeFeau, Jacob LeFeau, Reyna Pittman, Cooper Pittman, and J.W. Pittman; six darling great-grandchildren; along with a host of many other dear extended family members and friends.
