On May 28, 2024, Daniela Mariana Ramos, loving wife and mother of two, passed away at the age of 35. Daniela was born in Lima, Peru, to Henry and Lily, who moved their family to Houston in 1989. She attended DeBakey High School for Health Professions before earning her BS in Biology from Sam Houston State University, where she met her future husband, Johnny Ramos. Daniela and Johnny had two daughters, Lily Luna and Rose Amelia, whose names were inspired by their shared love of Harry Potter, Dr. Who, and all things nerdy.
Daniela was easy to love and loved easily. Her kindness, compassion, and unwavering support made anything feel possible. From creating the most elaborate spreadsheet to manage the family finances, to making Texas feel comfortable for a new arrival, to flying across the country to watch her baby nephew for a weekend, she was always there to help. Daniela genuinely wanted to hear about what was exciting to those she loved and would exuberantly share in their excitement. She was also the best person with whom to binge television series, make and eat a whole chocolate cake, and was an avid writer. Daniela, we love you forever and ever. Always and always.
Daniela is survived by her husband, Johnny, her daughters, Lily and Rose, her parents, Henry and Lily, and her siblings, Ximena and Rodrigo. A memorial service will be held in her memory at Forest Park South Funeral Home at 3pm on Monday, June 3rd.
