Emmanuel Edward Singleton, “Manny” “Manno” was born on June 28, 1994, to Drusilla St. Julien and Lee Singleton. Everybody loves Manny! He had such a big heart. Always looking to help others. He always put family first. Dependable, reliable, and authentic. Those were his true characteristics. A friend to many, but most important, he was his mom’s best friend.
Emmanuel grew up in southwest Houston. He attended Alief Independent schools. He played football all throughout his school years, including college. Nobody could take down a quarterback like Manny.
Manny had an infectious laugh. When he laughed, you couldn’t help but laugh with him. He was trustworthy and real. The friends he grew up with had a special place in his heart. He always knew he could count on them and they knew they could always count on him…a bond that couldn’t be broken. Manny enjoyed cooking, but more satisfaction came from eating. He loooooovvved to eat. He was a hardworking provider. To know Manny was to love him. And please don't forget the video games. Playing those games was a hobby, and he was good at it.
Manny met Kiana in 2012. They fell in love and not long after, they had two sons, Emmanuel Jr. and Kane. He raised Aniya as his own. There is no doubt that Manny loved his family. He was a provider, caregiver and role model for his sons.
We will cherish Manny in our hearts forever. He will be deeply missed. He is now with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and those that have gone on before him. He was preceded in death by his loved ones: Ernie Singleton, Ernest St. Julien, Floyd Oscar Sr., Hazel Oscar, Lanell Wilson, Floyd Oscar Jr., Natalie Alfred, Darnella George, Gwendolyn Oscar, Patricia Oscar, Willie Simmons, Horace Oscar, Tommy Oscar, & Terrell St. Julien.
