Knowing you for more than 20 years is trully a blessing to me. Being part of each others' family is a plus from your wedding to my youngest son's baptism are all special memories.  I will surely miss you Jon!

I met Jon at Maui's house almost 13 years ago and I always enjoyed his company in our many late night drinking sessions there after work. Jon was always a funny guy who knew how to make people at ease and feel welcome with him.

Thru the years I'd see him in places like Kroger, TJs or elsewhere in Pearland and we would always stop and chat a bit even if he was on his way out and I'd be on my way in. He was just that kind of guy that you always wanted to share a few moments with coz he always had a way to make you smile and laugh even just a bit with his quit wit.

I know he is busy making everyone in Heaven smile now and though we all will miss him, it is never really goodbye but only till we meet again. We should all be so lucky to be remembered as fondly as he will be by his family and friends.

When I looked at the schedule and saw your name crossed out, I knew it was real. YOU NEVER MISSED OUT OR CALLED IN when I would call you in for on-call. You were always dependable. Rest easy. Walter 3 PACU and OPC 19 PACU will miss you.

At 23 yrs old, starting my first real job, I was clueless. "Kuya Jon" as I referred to him was there on HR orientation with me. Whether i looked nervous, or downright pathetic, he came over and helped me fill out paper work and offered words of kindess and encouragement at the start of my journey in nursing. 14 years  of interacting with Kuya Jon as he brought patients over, not a day went by when he did not put a smile on everyone's face on the surgical unit. It did not matter how bad a day I was having, after just a few minutes with him, Kuya had me smiling and laughing. From me and allison ( who you also made laugh often), thank you for the friendship and mentorship Kuya Jon. You will be remembered.

Jonathan was one of the first nurses and greatest people I have met at TCH. He always had time for a joke and met me with great laughter and joy, but always focused on his patients with such care and dedication. He spoke fondly of his wife and son and loved everybody he met. I have been overjoyed to have known him and his lasting memory will remain with me. My sincerest condolences to his entire family and friends. We have lost such an incredible person, friend, man, father, and husband. Jonathan, I will miss you so much my friend ❤️- Megha Kanjia

Jon as we simply called him back in the day, I’ve been knowing him since the early 90s at the OLFU College of Nursing and only got a chance to be classmates on the final year of Nursing school and went on to share an elective rotation at the Philippine Heart Center together with Mau and eventually graduated together. We would always have drinking sessions and those times were simply priceless, of course him and Mau would always gang up on me most of the time but it was all in good fun. I did not have many friends that I considered real tight but these two jokers Jon and Mau I considered my best buds.  We then went on our separate ways onto our lives and careers after college and would see eachother sporadically and I went to his and Mary Ann’s wedding and was witness to Mau’s and Yaissa’s I think and then reconnected eventually here in the US in 2006. 

Through the years we would message or text eachother from time to time. We did not need the constant being in eachothers lives but when we got together it was a blast for me. I will definitely miss our conversations and drinking sessions amongst the three of us back in the day and all the jokes & laughter mostly at my expense and all those moments will always remain in my heart forever. 

My most heartfelt condolences to Mary Ann and Jude, please know we will always be here for you guys. 

To Jon, may you rest in eternal peace my brother, I love you and will miss you dearly. Until we see eachother again, see you later …

We fondly called him "Manute Bol" because of his skinny and lanky frame back then. I will always remember his infectious laugh and giggles and will always cherish the friendship and memories he left us here, his friends in the philippines. Godspeed bro...

Jonathan was always a joy to be around at work. No matter what he never complained and was always there to help with a smile and a joke. Jonathan was a good, selfless man and a compassionate nurse. Jonathan was such a hard worker. I have worked with him for 14 years here at TCH . We took many calls together and spent many hours talking about fine wine  and cars. He was such a giving person and always looking  out for all of us. I will miss his big smile  and laughter and him walking in the unit at 1030  saying what’s up Tita .

Just one of the nurses on 10 and 11 Tower.  We received many of your patient's over the years.  Going to miss know you are walking the halls with the rest of us.  My thoughts and prayers are with your family.  I remember what it was like to be a 39 year old Widow myself.  I hope your Mary  Anne has lot of family around her right now.  As for Jude, I hope he finds Bo's Place.  They help children travel through grief of a loved one...with other kids.

The short period that I spent with Jonathan at work in OPC- 19 has been one that is very memorable. He’s the kind of guy that jokes a lot, or would say something that makes you laugh despite the unit being crazy and busy.. He’s a joy to work with. He always laugh, he is funny and his laughter is contagious too. At times when I had a hard day or I’d say just plain non- stop busy with my patients, when Jonathan is around, he’ll say something that will make me laugh. He helped when you need help. He’s a hard worker and is always nice to his patients. There’s  not a moment that I heard him complaining. He never talk ill about others and he is a good friend to Armand.. I will definitely miss Jonathan. May he Rest In Peace and May the Lord bless him and comfort his family. You will be greatly missed, Jon..

Jonathan was and will always be the funniest coworker I have ever had the pleasure to work with. He had a way of making the mood lighter no matter what kind of day we were having. But he was more than just a coworker, he was like the “kuya” I never had.  All my favorite memories at OPC include you. Love you always Johnny, “KIM”
