Kelle Blount, 65, of Houston, Texas, peacefully transitioned from this life on July 14, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. She leaves behind a powerful legacy of faith, love, and quiet strength that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Born on December 8, 1959, Kelle lived a life full of grace, purpose, and unwavering spiritual devotion. She was a deeply devoted follower of Jesus, an amazing wife, and adoring mother, and a beloved friend. Kelle was known for her exceptionally deep and authentic relationship with Jesus-one that shaped her every thought, word, and action.
She was the devoted wife of James Blount, with whom she shared a sacred and enduing bond grounded in faith, love, and trust. Together, they built a life that reflected Christ’s love-a life rich in purpose, prayer, and compassion.
Kelle was the loving mother of Daniel Blount and Natalie Hoelscher. She was a proud grandmother to Shianne and Kyle Hoelscher, and great-grandmother to sweet Mavis. Her love for her family was fierce, tender, and unwavering-offering wisdom, comfort, and strength that will be carried forward for generations.
Kelle’s unshakable faith touched the lives of hundreds across the United States. Even as she endured a little over a year-long battle with pancreatic cancer, her spirit remained full of joy and peace. In the midst of intense physical and emotional suffering, she stood as a testimony to God’s grace. Her life was a living witness to the hope and strength that come from a life surrendered to Christ.
She found joy in worship, the beauty of God’s creation, heartfelt prayer, and the quiet spaces where His voice could be heard. Her life was a reflection of the Savior she loved-gentle, humble, radiant, and full of grace.
She is survived by her husband James, her children Daniel (Daughter-in-Law, Kendall) and Natalie (Son-in-Law, Jason), her grandchildren Shianne and Kyle, her great-granddaughter Mavis, and many extended family members and friends who will carry her legacy in their hearts.
A celebration of Kelle’s life will be held at Crosspoint Church in Pearland, Texas on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 10:00. All who knew and loved her are welcome to attend.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Houston Women’s Adult & Teen Challenge located in Alvin, Texas, a ministry dear to Kelle’s heart that reflects her passion for healing, freedom, and restoration in Christ.
Though her earthly journey has ended, Kelle now lives fully in the presence of her Savior-whole, radiant, and free. As Scripture proclaims:
“Well done, good and faithful servant… enter into the joy of your Lord.” (Matthew 25:21)
Kelle has gone home. Her light remains, and her faith continues to shine through every life she touched. May we honor her by loving Jesus as she did-and loving others with the same grace, humility, and joy that defined her beautiful life.
