Lesly Gabriela Canales

Lesly Gabriela Canales, age 37, passed away on June 4, 2026. Born on February 28, 1989, in Guatemala, she was raised in Pasadena, Texas, where her life became a steady reflection of faith, warmth, and care for others. Lesly’s presence was deeply beloved and cherished, and she will be remembered with enduring gratitude by all who had the privilege to know her.

Lesly attended Sam Rayburn High School and later graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor’s degree. She carried her compassion into her professional life, serving as a registered dietician at Texas Children’s Hospital, where her kind-hearted spirit and dedication made a meaningful difference. She also worked as Territory Manager of Texas for Functional Formularies Sales, bringing diligence and integrity to every responsibility entrusted to her.

A devout Christian, Lesly was a faithful member of Life Community Church, where she met her husband, Eliud Canales. They shared 12 years of marriage and built a home filled with love and devotion, raising their two children, Eliud and Victoria. Their family also included two miniature schnauzers, Blue and Chewy, who brought added joy to their days.

Lesly embraced life with a bright heart and an attentive joy for simple pleasures. She loved thriller and comedy movies, and she especially delighted in corny jokes. She enjoyed reading, shopping, and decorating, and she pursued her interests with energy and intention. A yoga enthusiast, she also practiced jiu jitsu—quietly demonstrating strength, discipline, and determination in all she did.

Her faith shaped not only her private life but also her community. At Life Community Church, she remained a devoted presence, and through Anchored Women Entrepreneurs, she served as both member and leader—encouraging others with steady kindness and sincere support. In every setting, Lesly was cherished for the grace she carried and the love she gave so freely.

Visitation will be held at Forest Park South Funeral Home, 12650 Shadow Creek Parkway, Pearland, TX 77584, on June 11, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Life Community Church, 9529 W Fairmont Parkway, La Porte, TX, on June 12, 2026, beginning at 5:00 pm.
