Oh how I miss you so much paw paw. I can’t wait to see you again one day. Oh paw paw, peanut butter’s not doing so well. I’m failing at everything. Every hope you had for me, everything you wanted me to achieve, I’ve failed at. I miss our talks. All you ever wanted was for me to be successful and I can’t even say I’m doing that. I’m just lost without you. I keep hearing it will get better , but how could it possibly get better when everyday I wake up it feels like a hole in my heart. A void so deep it’s impossible to escape. So how does it ever get better? I let myself believe that you were taking a vacation , a peaceful one , one where you endured no pain and got everything you could ever dream of. Believed a facade that I built to keep hidden from the harsh truth, that you were never coming back. Oh lil did I know how that day would change me forever paw paw , all i see every time I close my eyes is you lying there and me standing there helpless. I wish there was something I could have done , i woulda did it all. I love you so much, gone but never forgotten.

I miss you so much paw paw , it’s not getting any easier and all I wish I had was you. I can’t stop replaying how everything happened in my head , everyday , every minute , every second it just replays . Wish I would’ve just said something back but not knowing that would be my last time seeing you I didn’t . I’m so sorry paw paw I just couldn’t bear to look at you like that and I’ll regret not getting to say goodbye for the rest of my life. You meant so much to me it use to hurt me to see how much pain you were in , I hope you’re not in pain anymore . Oh paw paw I wish you could come back , know you’d be asking me peanut butter how are them grades 😭. Used to love when you’d ask that because I felt like I was living up to your expectations and making you proud . Paw paw ever since you left I can’t function correctly , seeing you in the rear view and breaking down with guilt every time I have fun because it doesn’t seem right without you.  it’s not right to have fun without you here paw paw . Oh man how I love you so much. I pray you’re doing so much better, R.I.P paw paw 🕊️.

I miss him like nothing on earth. He was everything to me, he healed me and I’d like to think I healed him too. I hadn’t seen my pawpaw in forever so even if it was under the worst circumstances I go was the timing was right. Five months that’s all the time we had but it was the best five months of my entire life. 

An ordinary day while I sit here thinking, wondering cuz that’s all I could do. no matter how much I think or how much I wonder it won’t bring you back and I hurt because of that.  I could lie and say I’m ok but thats all it would be is a lie I miss you so much that I find myself sobbing on my happiest days. I wish I could see you one last time because I’d tell you everything I forgot to before. About how much I love you and appreciate you for all the things you’ve done I wish I could do anything to have you back cuz I’d pay that price but I can’t and that hurts deeply. Wish you were right here as I journey through high school but you’re not and I don’t know how I’ll ever get through it without you. As we steer through the challenges that come with us about to be a freshman i long to run home and be able to tell you about it. To be able to sit and talk to you about your day for hours. I’d sit and watch football or basketball or anything you wanted. Just to have you back would be all that mattered. Wondering if you’re gone forever cuz i refuse to let that be true. How I can’t wait to see you again. Blessed to ever have such an amazing paw paw who put our needs before his and didn’t hesitate I love and miss you- peanut butter  

I miss u so much it’s been two months now and I still can’t let you go hiding it from everyone when the pain is unreal doing better up there but left me in pain love for u is real and no one will ever replace u in need of your love but in spirit I know you’re with me thank you for the motivation you gave me when I was broken down and tired of everyone and everything. You gave me hope,inspiration,love and so much more and I’ll never forget that Rest In Peace my love I love you forever and always your granddaughter peanut butter.

Lindsey was truly an "Earth Angel". He found joy in bringing everyone up with him. He saw good in everyone. He had a big heart. His belief system touched many lives. No one got left behind-- under no circumstances. Now we cherish the good times. Again, thank you, Lindsey. You served a good life here on Earth. 

He was there through thick, through thin… just laughing(smiling) along…. We still feel you here. We will keep your legacy alive. Love you paw paw. 


I can remember plenty of nights where he was there for me with plenty of moral support as a brother and as a friend rest in heaven Lindsey

I remember one day we went to the library and it was just me and him cuz I must’ve been crazy for voluntarily reading or something because I will never forget the look on his face when I said I liked to read and I was sad and I feel like he knew it cuz out of nowhere he started singing to a song on the radio and I started laughing and he said what you don’t like pawpaw singing and I responded no I love it just haven’t heard it in a while and in that moment I looked at him and I thought of every single memory I had of him and it felt as if I was superwoman, nothing could stop us because we had love to fuel our fire.

There are no words that could express how empty my heart is right now.when you left you took apart of my heart with you life will never be the same without you by my side.  God needed you more so spread your wings and make us proud we love you thanks for all that you have done for all of us anybody who knows you know that your passion for loved ones and friends was unconditional . Everyone shared their own special memories of you that they will keep close to their hearts as for me I got to see the weak and strong side of you especially the isolation of not having your son around he meant everything to you I’m glad I had the opportunity to share my life with you I will always cherish you. I know you are in a better place now no more pain or suffering. I will miss our late night talks and that wonderful smile     Love  always
