

Lucille "Lucy" Munoz Samudio, 80, of Rosharon, Texas, passed away peacefully of natural causes on October 18, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Known for her vibrant spirit, outgoing personality, and remarkable independence, Lucy touched the lives of all who knew her with warmth and grace.
Born on April 22, 1945, in Houston, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband, Felix Ochoa Samudio Jr . (d. 2011), her father Erasmo Munoz (d.1987) and her mother Guadalupe Munoz (d.2010). She is survived by her daughter Sabrina and son-in-law Edward, her granddaughters Madalynn Grace and Meagynn Giselle, her grandson Jacob Garcia (Christina), and her great granddaughter Andrea Garcia; her brother Richard Munoz (Eunice); her sister Loretta Garcia; numerous nieces and nephews and many loving family members and friends.
She was a loving mother and grandmother, affectionately called “Yaya” by her granddaughters, a beautiful soul who would help anyone. She enjoyed traveling, reading Danielle Steel novels, listening to Vicente Fernandez, watching musicals such as “Hello Dolly” and “The Sound of Music”, crocheting and chatting with family and friends on the phone.
A visitation will be held on November 15, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Forest Park South Funeral Home, located at 12650 Shadow Creek Parkway, Pearland, TX 77584. Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life will take place at the same venue from 4:00 pm.
