

A rosary service for Maria Del Rosario Hernandez will be held 12:00 PM on Sunday, July 10, 2022 at Forest Park South Funeral Home. A memorial service to celebrate her life will follow from 12:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the funeral home. Maria "Chayo" Del Rosario Hernandez, passed away peacefully at her home, in Pearland, Texas on Sunday, July 3, 2022. She took her last breath at 3:15 pm surrounded by her 3 children and loving family members.
Chayo was a wonderful-giving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and motherly figure to many. She was an avid sports fan of all types of sports, especially professional and college football. Her favorite teams included Houston Astros, especially truly loved her family and was happiest spending time at holiday family gatherings. She enjoyed traveling, spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and trying new foods. Not only did she enjoy spending time with her grand kids and great grand kids, she always checked up on family members and friends. She routinely reached out with her daily text, "how are you precious or mi amor?"
She is survived by three children, Jacqueline (Najera) Adams, Raymond Najera, Jr., and Krissy (Najera) Konis. She was a beloved Mamaw to 4 grandchildren, Brandi Nicole (Garcia) Rivas, Brent Nathaniel Najera, Kasia Jade Paden, and Zayli Natalia Konis, great-grandmother to Luke Brian Rivas and Logan Christopher Rivas. She is also survived by her father, Roman Briones and eight siblings, Javier, Emma, Rodolfo, Antonio, Efrain, Irma, Nancy and Martha.
María "Chayo" Del Rosario Hernández, falleció pacíficamente en su casa, en Pearland, Texas, el domingo 3 de julio de 2022. Respiró por última vez a las 3:15 p. m. rodeada de sus 3 hijos y familiares amorosos.
Chayo fue una maravillosa madre generosa, abuela, bisabuela y figura maternal para muchos. Era una fanática de los deportes de todo tipo, especialmente el fútbol americano profesional y universitario. Sus equipos favoritos incluían a los Astros de Houston, especialmente amaba verdaderamente a su familia y era más feliz pasando el tiempo en las reuniones familiares navideñas. Le gustaba viajar, pasar tiempo con sus nietos, bisnietos y probar comidas nuevas. No solo disfrutaba pasar tiempo con sus nietos y bisnietos, sino que siempre estaba pendiente de sus familiares y amigos. Rutinariamente se comunicaba con su mensaje de texto diario, "¿cómo estás preciosa o mi amor?"
Le sobreviven tres hijos, Jacqueline (Najera) Adams, Raymond Najera, Jr. y Krissy (Najera) Konis.
