Mariette R. Arriaga

Mariette Reine (Garcia) Arriaga, 61, of Rosharon, Texas, passed into eternal life with the Lord on May 24, 2022, after a brave and fierce battle with Cancer. Mariette was born to Gilbert and Mariette Garcia on October 18, 1960 in Corpus Christi, Texas where she lived until she moved to Houston, Texas in 1975. She later moved to Rosharon, Texas with her devoted husband of 19 years, Fidencio “Fidi” Arriaga. Mariette was gifted and talented with arranging flowers and considered a landscape artist by many. She beautifully designed and sculpted hundreds of yards throughout the years with Fidi by her side. Mariette’s loving arms and home were always open to anyone who needed her help. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Mariette was preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her husband, her mother, stepsons, Richard and Edward Arriaga, sisters, Marylise Valdez (Bennie) and Chris Anderson (Rick), brother, Gil Garcia (Marianne), brother-in-law, Walter Arriaga (Delia), cousins, Natalie Spinks (Hugh) and Bobby Garcia (Sheila), and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

The family is extremely grateful to Mariette’s dear friend, Peggy Miser, whose care, compassion, love and support were of great comfort to Mariette and to all of us.

A memorial mass to celebrate the life of Mariette R. Arriaga will be held 12:00 PM on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 6502 County Road 48, Manvel, Texas 77578. Mariette Reine (García) Arriaga, de 61 años, de Rosharon, Texas, fallecío a la vida eterna con el Señor el 24 de mayo de 2022, después de una valiente y feroz batalla contra el cáncer. Mariette nació de Gilbert y Mariette García el 18 de octubre de 1960 en Corpus Christi, Texas, donde vivió hasta que se mudó a Houston, Texas en 1975. Más tarde se mudó a Rosharon, Texas con su devoto esposo durante 19 años, Fidencio "Fidi" Arriaga. Mariette tenía el don y el talento para arreglar flores y muchos la consideraban una paisajista. Ella diseñó y esculpió maravillosamente cientos de yardas a lo largo de los años con Fidi a su lado. Los brazos amorosos y el hogar de Mariette siempre estuvieron abiertos para cualquiera que necesitara su ayuda. Su familia y amigos la extrañarán mucho.

Mariette es antecedida en muerte por su padre. Le sobreviven su esposo, su madre, hijastros, Richard y Edward Arriaga, hermanas, Marylise Valdez (Bennie) y Chris Anderson (Rick), hermano, Gil García (Marianne), cuñado, Walter Arriaga (Delia), primos, Natalie Spinks (Hugh) y Bobby García (Sheila), y numerosas sobrinas, sobrinos, sobrinas nietas y sobrinos nietas.

La familia está sumamente agradecida con la querida amiga de Mariette, Peggy Miser, cuyo cuidado, compasión, amor y apoyo fueron de gran consuelo para Mariette y para todos nosotros.

El sábado 18 de junio de 2022 se llevará a cabo una misa conmemorativa para celebrar la vida de Mariette R.
