Orlando Chavez, age 84, of Houston, Texas passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022. He was born December 12, 1937 in Pinar del Rio, Cuba. Orlando was married to his loving wife, Celia Chavez for 57 years. He had a lifelong career in the coffee industry, enjoyed listening to Salsa Music, drinking wine and gathering with family. Orlando is survived by his wife, Celia Chavez; son, Orlando Chavez, Jr; and daughter, Diane Chavez. The family will receive friends for Orlando on Thursday, February 10, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Forest Park South Funeral Home. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Orlando Chavez will be held 11:30 AM on Friday, February 11, 2022 at the funeral home. A committal service will follow at 1:00 PM on Friday, February 11, 2022 at South Park Cemetery.
