

Ricky was born to Penny McMillian and William Cruise on July 2, 1985, in Little Rock ,Arkansas. Ricky married his wife Sherri Fletcher Cruise on September 25, 2021.
Ricky proudly served in the United State Army with the 92nd Military Police from 2005 to 2011, serving in Korea, Germany, and Afghanistan. While serving Ricky obtained a Afghanistan Campaign Metal w/Campaign Star, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, a Korean Defense Service Medal, Overseas Service Ribbons, a NATO Medal, Combat Action Badge and was awarded a Bronze Service Star.
Ricky attended Brazosport College in Lake Jackson, Texas where he graduated from the Law Enforcement Academy in 2017.
Ricky spent most of his career in Law Enforcement with the Harris County Sheriff’s Department and the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Department, as well as a volunteer fire fighter with several departments throughout the years.
Ricky was a member for the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association, Chapter 23-4 and loved to ride his Harley. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends around a bar-b-que pit, a cold glass of whiskey or dropping a line in the water.
He is preceded in death by his son, Les Martin Cruise, his mother Penny Rene’ McMillan Cruise and his grandparents, Leroy & Emma McMillian.
Ricky is survived by his wife, Sherri Fletcher Cruise, daughter, Leah Marie Cruise; stepsons, Juston Fletcher, Derrick White Jr., Donovan White and wife Crystal; sisters Crystal Frye and husband Jesse; Jennifer Sharp and husband David; Chelsea Cruise; brothers Randal Cruise, Anthony Cruise and Johnathan Cruise; father, William Dean Cruise as well as eight beautiful grandchildren and numerous other extended family.
Serving as pallbearers are, Jesse Frye, James Whatley, Matthew West, Gage Powers, Juston Fletcher, and Bryan Gooding.
Visitation for Ricky will be held Thursday, March 28, 2024, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Forest Park South Funeral Home, Pearland, Texas. Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 29, 2024, at noon at the same location. A committal service will occur at 2 p.m. at the Houston National Cemetery.
