

Sherman L. Tucker was born on April 26, 1958, in Long Island, New York, to Marion Tucker and Roland Tucker. He later relocated to Texas, where he made his home. Sherman proudly served his country in the United States Army.
Sherman was a quiet, laid-back man with an easygoing spirit. Naturally introverted, he also loved to laugh and enjoyed the simple moments shared with those closest to him. Above all, he loved his family, and his grandchildren held an especially special place in his heart. The love he had for them was undeniable, and the memories they shared with him will be cherished for years to come.
Sherman was the father of Jermaine Tucker and Jazmyne Tucker of Texas, Jamaal Wallace of North Carolina, and Melissa Johnson of Virginia.
He was the brother of Carol Tucker-Sanes of Florida, Barbara Kerr of North Carolina, Karen Tucker-Bell, Roland Tucker, Carl Tucker, and Marvin Tucker of New York.
Sherman’s legacy continues through his grandchildren: Nyreon Tucker of Texas, Justice Tucker of Virginia, Haleigh Tucker of Texas, Jordyn Jackson of Texas, Jayce Foster of Texas, Ariel Wallace of North Carolina, and KeMarion Wallace of North Carolina.
