TOPEKA ~ Adam Edward Pennington, 16, of 21951 Elm Street, passed away at 5:17 a.m. Friday, February 29, 2008 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.He was born December 23, 1991 in Naples, Florida to Kenneth Dean and Irene Theresa (Berg) Pennington, Jr.Surviving are his parents of Topeka; two brothers, Eugene "Gene" (Heather Petitt) Pennington of Pekin and Kenneth D. Pennington, III of Peoria; one half-brother, Jeffrey Fey of Cut Bank, Montana; one half-sister, LezlieWebb of Billings, Montana; two nieces, Rylee Petitt and Addyson Pennington; one nephew, Ayden Pennington; grandmother, Carol Depew of Topeka; and step-grandfather, Robert W. Vanderwerf of Lake Wales, Florida. He was preceded in death by one half-sister (Miranda Pennington) and grandparents (Eugene Berg and Katherine Vanderwerf).Adam was a student at Schramm School in Pekin.He enjoyed watching Disney movies and Sponge Bob Squarepants shows, and eating M & M's.His funeral will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 8, 2008at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel, where visitation will be one hour before the service. The Rev. Michael Roberts will officiate. Cremation will be accorded following the funeral.
