

Born June 21, 1940 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri to William E. and Agnes (Stallings) Graham, he married Shirley Behr in October 1960 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He later married Frances L. Glasford on November 26, 1980 in Manito. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Debra (Shawn) Biery of Hoffman Estates and Connie (Edward) Sondag of Minooka; three step-sons, Robert (Amy) Funk of West Newbury, Massachusetts, Steve (Terry) Funk and Greg (Terri) Funk, both of Pekin; thirteen grandchildren; and one sister, Pauline (Lloyd) Kinder of O'Fallon, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and five brothers.
He was a United States Air Force veteran.
Alfred worked for OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria for 17 years, retiring in 2002 as a maintenance technician (GMT). He previously worked out of Laborers Local #231 in Pekin for many years. He also was the owner of G & W Builders in Manito.
He was a member of Pekin Moose Lodge #916 and attended Saint John's Lutheran Church in Pekin.
Alfred was an avid bowler, loved fishing and games of chance, and enjoyed playing sega with his grandkids. He also enjoyed traveling and spent winters in Florida. He leaves his grandchildren as his legacy.
His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2008at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. The Rev. Mark A. Miller will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin, where military rites will be accorded by the United States Air Force and Tazewell Area Ceremonial Team.
