

Born Aug. 3, 1918 in Peoria to Victor and Minnie (Conrads) Johnson, she married Hartzell McDonald Kramm on April 1, 1953 in Milwaukee, Wisc. He died on Sept. 21, 2008 in Pekin. She also was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Kathryn C. Preston on Aug. 13, 2009 in Peoria; and 1 sister, Marian Brueckner on Feb. 12, 2008 in Pekin.
Surviving are 2 daughters, Deborah L.(Gary Baiz) Kramm-Baiz of New York City and Nancy A. (Chris) Holtz of Sacramento, CA; 1 son, Steve J. (Kris Ady) Kramm of Hollister, CA; 2 grandchildren, Claire Alison Preston of Laveen, AZ. and James Ady of Hollister.
A loving and devoted mother and grandmother, her life revolved around her family and church.
Alice had worked as a secretary at R.G. LeTourneau, Inc. in Peoria during the 1940's.
An accomplished pianist, she played for Evangelist Billy Graham and Youth For Christ when he was in the Peoria area. She was R.G. LeTourneau's pianist for the daily employee services and had played for President Herbert Hoover. She was formerly the church pianist for El Vista Baptist Church and the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, both of Peoria.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Pekin, where she had accompanied the Children’s Choir.
Her funeral will be at 6 p.m. Monday, December 28, 2009 at First Baptist Church in Pekin. Pastor Mark D. Friday will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before the funeral Monday at the church. Burial will at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2009 in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel.
