Allen William Martin Sr.

He was born on January 27, 1946 in Pekin, IL to Roy and Hattie (Beal) Martin. He married Margaret Seals on August 31, 1968 in Pekin, IL. She survives.

Also surviving are three children, Lisa (Kelli) Martin of East Peoria, Allen (Angie) Martin Jr., of Pekin, and Carrie (John Henry) Gosnell also of Pekin; seven grandchildren, Tylor (Alexis) Friedmann of Pekin, Kayla (John) Schrader of South Pekin, Khristian (Alyssa) Martin of Pekin, Courtney (Brandon) Beever of South Pekin, Michael Beever of Pekin, Bradley Beever of Pekin, and Miranda Hull also of Pekin; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Virginia Davidson of Pekin; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Raymond Martin, and one sister, Beverly Carrington.

Allen worked for Caterpillar Inc. until retiring in 1999, was a former member of the U.A.W. Local 974 and a member of Central Life Church in Pekin. He loved to joke, go fishing and hunting and enjoyed watching NASCAR and Westerns, listening to country music, and playing cards with family and friends.

A funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 1, 2021 with visitation one hour prior to the service at Davison-Fulton Woolsey Funeral Home in Pekin. Burial will follow the service at Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.
