Amanda L Haynes

PEKIN ~ Amanda Lee Haynes, 43, of Pekin, passed away at 12:41 a.m. Sunday, July 19, 2015 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Born December 23, 1971 in San Bernardino, CA to Teresa Slavens, she married Doug Haynes on July 18, 1987 in St. George, UT. He survives.

Also surviving are her mother and step-father, Teresa and Craig Mytton of Waco, TX; two daughters, Angela (Jonathan) Miller of Mt. Juliet, TN and Samantha Haynes of Pekin; two sons, Marc (Nicole) Haynes of Scott Air Force Base and Danny Haynes of Pekin; four grandchildren, Jacob, Jaxon, Mason and Madison; five sisters, Kim Mytton, Jenny Higginbotham, Julie Hindsley, Ashley Mytton and Krista Mytton and one brother, David Riffel.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents.

Amanda was a paraprofessional for 14 years with Pekin Public Schools District 108 in Pekin.

She enjoyed reading and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

A gathering celebrating Amanda’s life will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Pekin Moose Family Center. There will be no services or visitation. Cremation will be accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Illinois CancerCare Foundation, 8940 Wood Sage Road, Peoria, IL 61615.
