Angela C Ashburn

She was born December 18, 1965 in Peoria to Edward and Margaret "Margie" (Gallagher) Ashburn.  

Surviving are her parents of Creve Coeur; one son, Preston (Summer Oggero) Ashburn of Creve Coeur; three brothers, Doug (Nancy) Ashburn of LaGrange, Chris (Beth Coulman) Ashburn of Accomac, Virginia and Kenny (Barb) Ashburn of Creve Coeur; and one sister, Kathy Ashburn of Newton, Iowa.

Angela was a member of Bethel Memorial United Church of Christ in Creve Coeur.

She had worked as a counselor for Job Corps, helping people to achieve their goals after completing training.  She last worked in January 2016.

Angela loved to listen to music, write and socialize with her friends.  She had also been a member of the Belles of Harmony and had served on the Creve Coeur Library Board.  One of her greatest achievements was fighting her cancer and earning her Bachelor's Degree.  

Her memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at Bethel Memorial United Church of Christ in Creve Coeur.  Pastor Dwight Winnett will officiate.  Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur.  Additional visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the service Tuesday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be given to the family to help with expenses.
