

Born October 10, 1940 in Pekin to Frederick F. and Gilda (Maddalozzo) Bastonero, she married Roger Krause in 1960 in Pekin. He died on March 17, 1973. She also was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Brett Allen Krause; one granddaughter, E’lin Taylor Krause; one sister, Cathy Lynn Krohn and a brother-in-law, John Gary Krohn.
Surviving are one son, Tony L. Krause of Pekin; two great-grandchildren, Mya Marie York and Matthew Alan Larson; one sister, Gloria Ann Bianchi of Pekin; four nieces and nephews, John Michael Krohn of Kansas, Erin (Tony) Dickson of Seattle, Washington, Lori (Gary) Behrends of Pekin and Ryan (Rachelle) Bianchi of Greenville, South Carolina.
Anita worked for Keystone Steel & Wire Company in Bartonville for 29 years, retiring in 2002 from working in the Die Room.
She was an animal lover and enjoyed being outdoors taking care of her house and flowers. She was devoted to her sons and loved her family very much. Anita enjoyed watching baseball and was a fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin.
Her memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 24, 2026 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Father Michael Andrejek will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will follow in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
