Born May 13, 1931 in Savanna to Thomas and Margret (Spudic) Collins, she married Gail M. Olson. He died August 9, 1990. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Judy Lawless; three sons, Robert “Bobby” Olson, Karl Olson and Thomas Olson and one sister Mary L. Spanier.
Surviving are one son, Gerald “Jerry” (Judy) Olson of Texas; four grandchildren, Michael J. Lawless of Glasford, Kim (Art) Pryor, Wendy (William) Crockett and Todd (Telissa) Winder, all of Texas; seven great-grandchildren, Chris (Amanda) Haley, Nick Haley, Madelyn Pryor, Dillon Pryor, Amber Brunsfield, Devon Crockett and Mikala Crockett; three great-great-grandchildren, Erin Brunsfield, Hanna Brunsfield and Frank Haley and her nephew, Michael “Mike” Olson of Champaign.
Anna worked as supervisor for 27 years at Illini Bluffs Community Unit School in Glasford, retiring in 2001.
She was president for nine years of the Glasford American Legion Post 35 Ladies Auxiliary. She volunteered with the Glasford Boy Scouts Pack 56 and Troop 56.
Anna enjoyed playing BINGO, Antique hunting and traveling. She loved spending time with her family and with Wanda and Walter Burton, who were like family to her.
She was a member of the Glasford United Methodist Church.
Her graveside service will be 1 p.m. Friday, November 10, 2023 at Lancaster Cemetery in Glasford. Rev. Judy Doyle will officiate. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
