Anne Bell Griswold

Born June 30, 1956 in Pekin to Vernie and Madonna (Bueker) Blair, she married Gary Griswold in 1979.

Surviving are her husband of 43 years; two sons, Tony (Sarah Menard) Griswold and Troy (Kim) Griswold, both of Pekin; three grandchildren, Emma Griswold of Tremont, Khloe Griswold of Pekin and CJ Sarver of Bartonville; four sisters, Frances Kirkman of Alma, Louise Ashley, Carolyn (Doug) Smith and Patricia Blair, all of Salem; a special aunt, Inez Montgomery and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Linda Blair; one brother, Larry Blair and two nieces, Michelle Curtis and MaLinda White.

Anne had worked in the kitchen at Kouri’s in Pekin for 20 years, before retiring in 2021.

She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed feeding the birds and squirrels, spending time in her yard, shopping and walking around the lagoon at the Pekin Park.

Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Kim Bacon will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Midwest Affiliate, 530 Northeast Glen Oak Avenue, Peoria, Illinois 61637.
