

Born June 24, 1939 in Pekin to Chester and Alberta (Frohling) Maus, she married Rex D. Carpenter March 10, 1956 (deceased) and married Charles “Dean” Frye January 6, 1961 in Pekin.
Surviving is her husband of 62 years; two daughters, Dana (Robert) Wernli of Bakersfield, California and Cheryle (Randy) Watson of Summersville, Missouri; one son, Jimie “Jim” (Annette) Frye of Pekin; six grandchildren, Cynthia (Don) Koerner, Crystal (Jason) Hester, Rachel Wernli, Josh (Trista) Watson, Shawna (Brian) Rudd, Bethany Frye and James Frye; 18 great-grandchildren; one brother, Darell (Joellen) Maus of California and one sister, Judy (Harvey) Houston of Illinois.
She was preceded by her first husband Rex “Darnell” Carpenter, her parents; one son, Steven Frye; one grandchild, Kyle Watson; and one great grandchild, Michael Watson.
Arleta worked at Lynxmotion in product production for five years before retiring in 2003. She previously worked at Will Harms for 21 years as Girl Friday!
She enjoyed spending time with family, gardening, home canning, sewing, and crocheting.
Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
